Crazy Night in the NFA

The NFA ended November with a crazy night in which 2 Foul Clubs, Pgastan FC and Gamblor, both scored over 300 points. In my quick research of this blog I found only one other instance of 2 teams scoring over 300 points on the same day. That was February 12, 2020 where Pgastan FC scored a whopping 495 points and Ohsnappers!!! scored 360.

Here's the break down of those 2 foul clubs on their big night:

Pgastan FC on 11-30-2022

DeAndre Hunter - 5 Points (1-0-0-0-0)

Jusuf Nurkic - 15 Points (3-0-0-0-0)

Franz Wagner - 10 Points (2-0-0-0-0)

 

Total - 360 Points (20-0-4-1-0)

 

DeAndre Hunter left the game early after aggravating an earlier injury so PFC could have had a few more points. 

 

Gamblor  on 11-30-2022

 

Fred VanVleet - 190 Points (2-0-2-1-0)

Kelly Oubre Jr. - No Game

Anthony Edwards - 60 Points (4-0-1-0-0)

Draymond Green - No Game

Rudy Gobert - 60 Points (4-0-1-0-0)

Anthony Davis - 15 Points (3-0-0-0-0)

Larry Nance Jr. - 25 Points (5-0-0-0-0)

 

Total - 350 Points (18-0-4-1-0)

 

As you can see, Gamblor scored  350 points with only 5 active players. The craziest thing about last night for his foul club was his bench though. He had another 245 points there including another ejection.

Gamblor could have truly had a historic night, shattering Pgastan FC's 495 points mentioned above with an optimal lineup of:

Anthony Edwards - 60 Points (4-0-1-0-0)

Larry Nance Jr. - 25 Points (5-0-0-0-0)

Of course, who knows what Gamblor or any other Foul Club GM would have started this week (it's rare to star 2 PGs in a given week but it can happen). But it's fun to see what an optimal lineup would have been.

 

Pgastan FC goes from 4th place to 2nd place with their big night and Gamblor goes from 6th to 3rd place.

It should be noted that 2 other Foul Clubs scored over 100 points yesterday with Oww Ming's Flagrants scoring 130 (18-0-1-0-0) and Ohsnappers!!! scoring 155 (19-1-0-0-0)
