Week 6 Roundup: Where Are the Performance Fouls Edition

Well we've reached week 6 and that would normally mean I'd do the first Team Strength Check-In of the season but I started noticing something strange with stats being tracked on Yahoo a few weeks ago. Let me explain. It all happened when I noticed Wendell Carter Jr had a foul out. My stats were there that night and the next morning but when I went to sort by 2022-2023 season it was missing the foul out from last night and only had him with 1 foul out on the season (I'm not sure if any personal fouls were missing as I didn't feel like adding them up). The weird thing was my score was accurate and when I went back the previous day the stats were accounted for. I started noticing this with other players soon on other foul clubs. I feel like it's mainly foul outs but I think I've seen it with techies too. 

So, I'm not entirely sure what to do. I'm a bit hesitant to contact Yahoo! in case they mess it up even more. As far as I can tell, all Foul Clubs have the correct scores. But this does skew season rankings which will skew blog posts such as Team Strength Check-Ins and more importantly the Donkies (both mid-season and end of season). I also feel like Yahoo! support wouldn't even understand what the issue is. So, if anyone has any ideas on what to do next, leave a comment below. Now, on to this week's post.

- DeAndre Ayton had a techy given to him retroactive to November 22nd. Pgastan FC had him active that week so he gains 40 points. 

- Patrick Beverly had a techy given to him retroactive to November 22nd. Arlington Assaulters had him active that week so he gains 40 points.

Ohsnappers!!! had an average week of 365 points and remains in last place but does join the 2000 point club. F'N FLOPPERS had a great week of 465 points but falls to 8th place. Rodman'sWeddingDress had an excellent week of 515 points and moves up to 7th place. Gamblor had an average week of 305 points and falls to 6th place. Arlington Assaulters had an excellent week of 560 points and moves up to 5th place.

 

Pgastan FC had an average week of 370 points and falls from 3rd to 4th place. GG Foulin' had a great week of 460 points and moves up to 3rd place. Baltimore Hitsquad had a great week of 465 points and stays in 2nd place. Oww Ming's Flagrants had an amazing week of 660 points and stays in 1st place.

Well, looks like this week we got 6 tiers with some further shakeup in the standings. It's actually easier to see the tiers in the standings than the graph since some teams are so close to each other in points. You could make the argument to lump tiers 3 and 4 together and possibly 1 and 2 together but I decided on this route for the week.

Week 5 Roundup: Piper Aerial Donination Edition

With the World Cup having started yesterday and the US taking on Wales today, figured I'd throwback to the glorious commentary of International Superstar Soccer 64 for the opening. Let's get to this week's post.

-There were 2 stat corrections this week but since neither player was rostered I'm not going to list them here. 

Transactions

- Gamblor added Ja Morant and dropped Tyrese Haliburton on November 14th

- Pgastan FC added Jae'Sean Tate on November 15th

- GG Foulin' added Jalen Williams and dropped Keegan Murray on November 18th

- Pgastan FC dropped Nic Claxton on November 19th 

- Gamblor added Larry Nance Jr. and dropped Dwayne Dedmon on November 20th

 

Not sure why F'N FLOPPERS dropped Jae'Sean Tate instead of putting him on an IL spot as he is an excellent fouler. That allowed Pgastan FC to swoop in and pick him up to stash in an IL spot. But that was after Tate was on the waiver wire for over a day for anyone to pick up. In fact, he was almost on the waiver wire for 36 hours, so really anyone could have picked him up. Could be a league changer if he can come back from this injury and resume the fouling that we're all used to.

GG Foulin' had a great week of 410 points and falls to 4th place. Pgastan FC had an excellent week of 545 points and moves up to 3rd place. Baltimore Hitsquad had a great week of 485 points and stays in 2nd place, though only 5 points (1 personal foul) behind 1st place. The standings are starting to settle down a little bit and we're starting to get some established tiers. Though, the top 6 teams are pretty close together with the point difference between 1st and 6th only being 325 points. So, I could have lumped the top 6 teams into one tier really but we'll see how the next few weeks play out. In fact, the top 6 clubs are all fouling above the league average, 5 weeks in.
