Week 25 Roundup: MBGA Edition

Make Basketball Great Again! So, I was at the 76ers/Bucks game last Thursday here in Philly and being a transplant from Chicago, I didn't really have a rooting interest in the game. I had no foulers in the game and GG Foulin' didn't either so I could just relax and watch the game. When I was really into basketball in high school and college I would get so into the games even early on. But it's a game of runs so I knew that you could be up 15 early and still lose and be down 15 early and still win. I then taught myself to basically not get emotionally invested into a game until about 5 minutes left.

So, it was early in the 1st quarter and I was just causally watching talking to my friend when a scuffle broke out between Embiid and Bledsoe. Oh man! Was that amazing. It's not like stupid staged hockey fights. This was a sweet scuffle. They reviewed it and Bledsoe got a DTE, Embiid got a single Techy, and Mike Scott also got a single techy. I was so pumped after that ejection. I don't make it to a lot of NBA NFA games but I had never seen an ejection live since I became the commissioner of the National Foul Association. (I can't even recall seeing a techy live come to think of it, but I may have).

Live ejections are amazing! It really does make the sport worth watching. I will leave you with this quote before I get to the normal write-up:

"Basketball is way more enjoyable now that I understand that it's meant to be watched for fouls and not baskets." ---Arlington Assaulters Owner (January 30th, 2014).

1. Pgastan FC - 12380 (+235)
2. GG Foulin' - 11900 (+585)
3. Oww Ming's Flagrants -11150 (+270)

7. Baltimore Hitsquad - 9060 (+440)
8  Arlington Assaulters - 9025 (+260)
9. Ohsnappers!!! - 7975 (+195)

<= 195 points: Horrible week
200-295 points: Poor week
300-395 points: Average week
400-495 Points: Great Week
500-595 Points: Excellent Week
>=600 points: Amazing week

 Ohsnappers!!! had a horrible week of 195 points and remains in last place by a fair amount. The good news is that he should crack the 8000 point club in the last 2 days barring an entire roster of DNPs. Arlington Assaulters had a poor week of 260 points and drops to 8th place because Baltimore Hitsquad had a great week of 440 points which was enough to pass AA by 35 points. F'N FLOPPERS had an amazing week of 625 points and remains well established in 6th place.Gamblor had an average week of 315 points and remains in 5th.

Moving to the top half. Rodman'sWeddingDress had a great week of 465 points and stays in 4th place. Oww Ming's Flagrants had a poor week of 270 points and stays in 3rd place. GG Foulin' had an excellent week of 585 points and stays in 2nd place. He was able to gain 350 points on 1st place Pgastan FC who had a poor week of 235 points.

With only 2 days left in the season with a total of 22 games to be played, it is most likely that the only position still up for grabs is 7th place (the duel between Baltimore Hitsquad and Arlington Assaulters). Some team would have to go bonkers for anyone else to have a chance to move up in the standings.

Well that's it for now.

Check back on Thursday to find out how the season ended!

Keep Foulin' Y'all!
