NFA 2014-2015 Season Recap
Don't really see the point in an introduction to this post so I'm not going to write one. Let's look how the final 3 days of the NFA season finished up, shall we?
Stat Corrections for Week 24: As I stated in the Week 24 Roundup, there was one major stat correction that could have effected the title race, the other one was to a player who was a free agent at the time so won't touch on it.
- Russell Westbrook had a techy taken away from him retroactive to April 12th. They Call Me Gamblor had him active that week so he loses 40 points.
This went through today actually when the final standings updated. Yesterday They Call Me Gamblor was only 30 points behind Rodman'sWeddingDress for the title so anything could have happened. Let's see what did:
Final NFA Standings:
1. Rodman'sWeddingDress- 11130 (+125)
2. They Call Me Gamblor- 11035 (+150)
3. Baltimore Hitsquad- 10230 (+95)
4. Arlington Assaulters- 10225 pts (+135)
5. Pgastan FC- 9685 (+155)
6. F'N FLOPPERS 9570 (+170)
7. Oww Ming's Flagrants 8290 (+240)
8. Dis Is Dat Donk Ball- 8220 (+260)
In the final 3 days, each team on the bottom of their respective duels ended up outscoring the leaders of their duels but it was not enough for anyone to steal the lead in the end as there was no movement in the NFA standings in this shortened 3-day week. Dis Is Dat Donk Ball scored the most out of anyone this week and he joined the 8000 point club. This is the highest score for the last place finisher, so it seems Foul Club managers are starting to get a hang of the sport of fouling and how to manage a foul club. Oww Ming's Flagrants won his duel by 70 points.
For 5th place Pgastan FC held on as he actually had the biggest lead going into this week of all the duels. Both teams put up some decent points but Pgastan FC was aided by an Evan Turner Techy on the final day of the season to help solidify his 5th place finish. This is PFCs worst finish in NFA so he'll be looking for a bounce back next season.
The duel for 3rd place happened to be where all the action was. Baltimore Hitsquad barely (and I mean barely) held on to win his duel by 5 points (that's one personal foul!). Not sure what a tiebreaker would have been so glad it didn't come to that (probably would have had to split the bronze medal. Both foul clubs had bench techies this week so it could have swung either way had either manager managed their club differently. Arlington Assaulters will rue the day he left Matt Barnes on his bench, but that is the nature of fouling.
Finally, for the title Rodman'sWeddingDress won his 3rd title in 6 years and he ended up winning it by 95 points. Russell Westbrook actually had 2 techies taken away from him over the last 3 weeks, so while that was not the difference, it definitely made for a better sweat on the final evening of fouling. Maybe the Blackhawks can become the Rodman'sWeddingDress of the NHL with their 3rd title in 6 years....
Recap:
Rodman'sWeddingDress brings back some sanity to NFA as the team with DeMarcus Cousins' is back in the winner's circle. Arlington Assaulters broke the trend of the winning team having either Cousins or Dwight Howard last year as he made some phenomenal waiver wire pickups to come out of nowhere and steal an NFA title.
This is the smallest margin of victory for a winner ever in league history. They Call Me Gamblor finished 2nd last year only 295 points behind 1st and this year finishes 95 points behind 1st place. I guess if this trend continues he'll win next year....
Rodman'sWeddingDress didn't come close to beating his own record set in 2010-2011 for most points in a season at 13,470. It is quite possible no club will ever approach that as he had Howard and Cousins. As this was Cousins' rookie year he went undrafted and RWD snagged him up from the waiver wire during the 1st week or so of the season.
This was the most exciting season yet in the league as the title race went down to the wire, usually clubs have it wrapped up at least a week in advance. I'll leave you with a list of NFA titles and a points graph. Don't forget to check back in a few days for the End of the Season Donkies!
NFA Titles:
Rodman'sWeddingDress 3 - 2010-2011, 2011-2012, 2014-2015
Pgastan FC (formerly Donkey Engine and Steam Donkey FC) 2 - 2009-2010 and 2012-2013
Arlington Assaulters 1- 2013-2014

Week 24 Roundup: Home Stretch Edition
I guess technically this edition is the penultimate edition as the season will end on Wednesday and I'll write up a Season Round Up... though I guess that's a different title so I guess this is the last weekly roundup. Anyway, this will be a shorter version than normal as I'll wrap up everything on Thursday and then post the Season Donkies probably over the weekend.
Stat Corrections: Stat corrections for the final 10 days will be applied on April 15. As of now there is only one and that player was a free agent when it happened but Russell Westbrook had his techy yesterday rescinded and that will probably show up tomorrow in stat corrections. They Call Me Gamblor has him and he is in 2nd place currently 120 points behind 1st, so he basically needs that to have any shot at the title.
Standings as of April 13, 2015:
1. Rodman'sWeddingDress- 11005 (+335)
2. They Call Me Gamblor- 10885 (+400)
3. Baltimore Hitsquad- 10135 (+415)
4. Arlington Assaulters- 10090 pts (+315)
5. Pgastan FC- 9530 (+385)
6. F'N FLOPPERS 9400 (+195)
7. Oww Ming's Flagrants 8050 (+265)
8. Dis Is Dat Donk Ball- 7960 (+335)
So we had 2 duels change who was leading them over this last week, which I'll get to in second, but first let's look at the bottom duel. Dis Is Dat Donk Ball gained on Oww Ming's Flagrants and is only 90 points behind, also he is 40 points from joining the rest of the foul clubs in the 8000 point club. The first duel to switch leaders was the 5th place duel. Pgastan FC gained 190 points on F'N FLOPPERS to pull ahead of him by 130 points, which was aided by an Eric Bledsoe DTE.on April 7th. The 2nd duel to switch leaders was the 3rd place race. Baltimore Hitsquad gained 100 points on Arlington Assaulters this week to pull ahead of him for the final trophy by 45 points. This is undoubtedly the closest race of the 4 duels and given that it is for a trophy it should be an exciting final 3 days. Finally, the race for the title is still close, as They Call Me Gamblor is 120 points (though soon to be 160 points assuming Westbrook's techy is taken away) behind 1st. Rodman'sWeddingDress has 2 foulers on his starting roster this week who are injured and Cousin's has been ruled out for the final two games. Can he hold on and win his 3rd NFA title? Check back in a few days.
Transactions:
-Arlington Assaulters added Adrian Payne and dropped Henry Walker on April 12th
-Arlington Assaulters added Vince Carter and dropped Paul Millsap on April 12th
-They Call Me Gamblor added Archie Goodwin and dropped Hassan Whiteside on April 13th (apparently he didn't realize that he'll never be able to play Goodwin as these are weekly roster changes and you have to add the day before).
Well check back in a few days to see how this exciting NFA season concludes!

Week 23 Roundup: Penultimate Edition
That's right this is actually the last full week of NFA as the season ends on a Wednesday, so the lineups that managers have chosen for their foul clubs this week could have a final say in the duels that have developed in NFA. Speaking of those duels, let's get right to this update.
Stat Corrections: There were 2 stat corrections this week but only one will affect a foul club
- Russell Westbrook had a techy taken away from him retroactive to March 29th. They Call Me Gamblor had him active that week so he loses 40 points.
Standings as of April 6, 2015:
1. Rodman'sWeddingDress- 10670 (+560)
2. They Call Me Gamblor- 10485 (+430)
3. Arlington Assaulters- 9775 pts (+430)
4. Baltimore Hitsquad- 9720 (+410)
5. F'N FLOPPERS 9205 (+425)\
6. Pgastan FC- 9145 (+295)
7. Oww Ming's Flagrants 7785 (+430)
8. Dis Is Dat Donk Ball- 7625 (+225)
I'll start at the bottom this time as that's where the movement was. Dis Is Dat Donk Ball allowed Oww Ming's Flagrants to take over 7th again as he could only muster 225 points to Oww Ming's 430 points. It was the same story in the battle for 5th as Pgastan FC only scored 295 points this week while F'N FLOPPERS put up 425. Meanwhile, at the top Baltimore Hitsquad is now 55 points behind Arlington Assaulters for 3rd place as AA gained 20 points on the Hitsquad this week. Finally, Rodman'sWeddingDress gained 130 points on They Call Me Gamblor in the race or the title. TCMG remains 185 points behind RWD. With only 9 days left in the season, it is not very likely that someone could put up enough points to enter the duel above them. F'N FLOPPERS is 515 points behind 4th and Arlington Assaulters is 710 points behind 2nd.
Transactions:
-They Call Me Gamblor added Dwight Howard and dropped Patrick Beverley on March 30th
-They Call Me Gamblor added DeMar DeRozan and dropped Michael Carter-Williams on March 30th
-Arlington Assaulters added Gerald Henderson and dropped Nick Young on April 5th
Well that's it for now, enjoy the last full week of NFA action!
