2024-2025 Midseason Donkies!

After 3-years, due to Yahoo! donking it, the Midseason Donkies have returned! I am going to present the awards first and then because I'm not posting every week I am going to do a rundown of number of Top 25 foulers each foul club has at the Donk-Star break because I was looking at it the other night and I think it's an interesting thing to report on and it used to be a regular part of this post.

The Roger Murdock Persistent Fouling Award (Most Personal Fouls):

The Rasheed Wallace Legacy Award (Most Technical Fouls):
Anthony Edwards leads the league with 12 Technical Fouls each

The Charles Oakley Award (Most Flagrant Fouls):
We have a tie! Isaiah Stewart and Jaren Jackson Jr. lead the league with 4 Flagrant Fouls each

The Dennis Rodman Award (Most Ejections)
 Nic Claxton leads the league with 3 ejections

Wow, so the number 1 fouler in the land at the Donk-Star Break went undrafted! Pgastan FC picked him up on November 8th, amazing. Will it be sustainable for the homestretch? We'll have to find out but if Pgastan FC wants to challenge for the title this year, he's going to need it!

 

Let's look at a Foul Club by Foul Club breakdown of who has the most top 25 foulers heading into the break. This will have changed a little bit because of injuries since the last time I did it all the way back in week 7

In the past, the number of top 25 foulers has directly correlated with league position, but that's not the case this season at the Donk-Star Break. F'N FLOPPERS and Ohsnappers!!! have more top-25 foulers than Rodman'sWeddingDress. Also, Baltimore Hitsquad only has 2 top-25 foulers and they're ahead of Ohsnappers!!! with 4.

2024-2025 NFA Season: 4th Month Analysis Blowout!

Can you believe it? We're already 4 months into this NFA Season! Before I get to the analysis post, I'd like to mention that because Yahoo finally fixed the foul outs issue we had the last 2 years, I can finally bring back the Donkies! And since we're just days away from the Donk-Star Break, that post should be coming in a at some point over the weekend. Anyway, let's get to the 4th month analysis post!

I haven't been writing much commentary on these posts this year but I think the projected final standings are pretty crazy. GG Foulin' is currently projected to finish 1,430 points ahead of Pgastan FC for 1st place despite only being 475 points clear at the time of this writing. GG Foulin's average week per linear regression is 462.40, while PFC is at 405.20 and F'N FLOPPERS is not far behind PFC at 405.00. Those are the 3 foul clubs averaging more than 400 points a week per linear regression. 

Rodman'sWeddingDress average weekly score is 381.80, Baltimore Hitsquad comes in at 347.20, Arlington Assaulters at 340.80, Ohsnappers!!! at 337.60, Oww Ming's Flagrants at 278.60, and Gamblor at 257.60. Using this method shows 5 or 6 distinct tiers which is fascinating in and of itself.

While I wrote last month the tiers are starting to come into focus, it's kind of true however the foul clubs in the tier purgatory could be in the tier above or below. It's kind of arbitrary but for the most part we do have some distinct tiers. The biggest questions come with teams in 3rd (Rodman'sWeddingDress at 6,460), 4th (F'N FLOPPERS at 6,030) and 5th (at 5,545) as they are separated by 915 points.

The tiers are really coming into shape with GG Foulin' running away with the league. F'N FLOPPERS has a decent lead on PFC for 2nd but they are close enough to be in the same tier. Then there is the mess that is tier 3 with Rodman, AA, Bmore, and Ohsnappers!!! only separated by 345 points. Finally, in the bottom tier we have Oww Ming's and Gamblor well behind the pack.
